A visiting European Parliament delegation has praised Bahrain’s “remarkable progress” across vari[1]ous development fields, particularly in promoting human rights.
Members and senior staff of the European Parliament’s Delegation for Relations with the Arabian Peninsula (DARP) lauded the Kingdom’s strides in the field of women’s advancement, and the state’s keenness to provide services that are directly related to the rights of individuals.
This came as members of the Council of Representatives held talks yesterday with the European delegation, which is currently on a visit to the kingdom.
The European Parliament representatives also praised the interest of Bahrain’s legislation and procedures in rights, hailing the prominent role played by the kingdom to support the efforts of the international community to safeguard human rights.
They underlined their keenness to enhance parliamentary cooperation and communication to achieve their goals for the best interests of countries and their peoples.
Doors are open to all
Council of Representatives’ Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee Chairman MP Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi said the Kingdom’s human rights system is comprehensive and integrated, thanks to the initiatives launched by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
“Our doors are open to all,” said MP Al Sisi, “extending bridges of communication and cooperation with councils and parliaments would clarify the facts, and reveal all things transparently, without the need to obtain inaccurate information from unilateral parties and groups that do not represent the Bahraini people.” MP Al Sisi underscored the development march under HM King leadership.
