The Korea Female Traditional Music Ensemble DASRUM will put out two performances next week as Bahrain and the Republic of Korea celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between them.

The Korean Embassy in Bahrain is organising the Korean traditional music concert “Stay Strong” in cooperation with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) on November 10 and 11, at the Cultural Hall at 8 pm.

The embassy stressed in a statement that the performances will be held with complete adherence to the precautionary measures of the National Medical Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

DASRUM is a musical group with eight female performers specialising in playing all kinds of music using Korean traditional folk music instruments.

It has produced more than 500 performances locally and internationally.

In Bahrain, DASRUM will play traditional Korean songs, K-pop songs and Bahraini songs with Korean traditional instruments, in a tribute to the long-standing relations between the two nations.

The Ensemble will be sending a message of healing and consolation for all of the people who have endured the trying times of the pandemic, the embassy said.
