We’re fostering inter-cultural dialogue: HM King

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to foster moderation and intercultural dialogue for the best interest of mankind. This came as HM the King received at Al Safriya Palace yesterday a delegation from Aladdin Project headed by the project’s founder, Baron Eric de Rothschild, and its head, Dr Leah Bessar. The meeting was attended by French Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Jerome Kochard.

HM King Hamad welcomed the delegation and reviewed with them several initiatives aimed at promoting tolerance and peace among people.

He expressed appreciation of Bahrain’s civilisational and historical heritage which turned it into a model of tolerance and coexistence.

His Majesty praised the significant role of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence in achieving those noble goals. He also voiced Bahrain’s support to the role of the United National Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), which is overseeing Aladdin Project, in laying bridges of rapprochement and communication between different religions and civilisations.

The delegation expressed utmost thanks to HM the King for the gracious welcome, commending Bahrain’s supportive stances to respecting religions and peoples.
