Bahrain promotes ‘co-existence, understanding, harmony, love, peace, religious freedom and openness’

Under His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s era, Bahrain has promoted tolerance as a well-established social culture and a basis for a modern civil state.
The Kingdom has become a distinguished role model for tolerance, co-existence, understanding, harmony, love, peace, religious freedom and openness. Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal made the remarks as the country celebrates the International Day for Tolerance today.
She said that Bahrain’s efforts made by the government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in developing and implementing plans and strategies, in an effort to enhance the Kingdom’s advanced position with the lofty principles and constants approved by international religions and charters, has become an inspiration to peoples internationally.
Zainal explained that Bahrain has many achievements and initiatives in peaceful cultural, religious and ethnic coexistence that consolidate the values of peace, tolerance and coexistence as a national approach.
The Speaker affirmed the parliament’s keenness to promote the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence by using parliamentary tools to exchange expertise with other countries and launch initiatives to ensure spreading the value of tolerance and humanitarian principles in all its forms in accordance with the monotheistic religions and international legal systems.
