HRH Prince Salman issues edict appointing Works Ministry directors

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday issued Royal Decree 111 of 2021, establishing the National Council for Arts. The decree stipulates that the National Council for Arts shall be affiliated with the Cabinet, and the minister responsible for it before the legislative branch shall be named as per an edict issued by the Prime Minister.

The council shall be chaired by Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa and will include Shaikh Turki bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa as Deputy Chairman, and Shaikha Dhuwa bint Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Balqees Ahmed Fakhro, Omar Ismail Rashid, Haifa Majid Al Jishi and Abbas Mohammed Al Mosawi as members for a four-year term that can be renewed for several times.

The Prime Minister and ministers, each in their capacity, shall implement the provisions of this decree, which takes effect upon its publication in the Official Gazette.

HM the King issued Royal Decree 114 of 2021, appointing Ibrahim Hassan Ali Al Hawaj as Undersecretary for Agriculture and Marine Wealth at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning.

The current Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Services at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Kadhem Ali Abdullatif Ali, was appointed as Assistant Undersecretary for Roads at the same ministry.

Under the same decree, Huda Mirza Abbas Mohammed was appointed as Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Services, and Fathi Abdulla Farea Ismail was appointed as Assistant Undersecretary for Sanitation at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning.

The Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning shall implement the decree, which takes immediate effect and will be published in the Official Gazette.

His Majesty also issued Royal Decree 113 of 2021, appointing Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa as Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence at the Interior Ministry. The Interior Minister shall implement the decree, which takes immediate effect, and will be published in the Official Gazette.
