Bahrain, Greece sign deal on political consultations

Bahrain and Greece have signed a memorandum of understanding on political consultations between the two countries’ Ministries of Foreign Affairs to develop bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues of common interest.
This came as Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani held an official discussion session yesterday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, Nikos Dendias, during his official visit to the Kingdom.
Both ministers voiced mutual keenness to boost bilateral relations and cooperation, affirming the importance of their official visits in further consolidating them.
They discussed mutual respect and deep-rooted friendly relations between Bahrain and Greece, which are developing at all levels.
They also discussed means of enhancing cooperation in the political, economic and investment fields, reviewed the current security and political developments and challenges facing the region, and talked about regional and international issues of common interests.
