Speaker Zainal highlights Bahrain efforts to preserve health of all against COVID-19

Bahrain provides equitable healthcare and treatment services to all citizens and residents as part of its efforts to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
It is in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to harness all potentials and resources and preserve the health and safety of the people.
Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal made the statements while chairing in Madrid yesterday one of the plenary sessions of the 143rd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), themed “Harnessing global parliamentary support for vaccine equity in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic”.
Speaker Zainal expressed deep pride in the pioneering achievements attained by the kingdom in fighting the pandemic, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the National Medical Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus and Team Bahrain, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in addition to the Bahraini people’s awareness and adherence to the precautionary measures in force.
She indicated that achieving health security for all is one of the Kingdom’s priorities, noting that there are concerted efforts exerted among various sectors to overcome the effects of the pandemic.
The Speaker stressed that the legislative branch supports all laws and legislation that would strengthen the health system in the Kingdom, and open new paths for quality and efficiency in all treatment services provided to the citizens and residents.
