Light fog today, cold weather on Friday

The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications’ Meteorological Directorate forecast a partly cloudy and little foggy weather in the Kingdom of Bahrain today, and cold wind on Friday.

The surface maps indicate the control of an air rise over the northern Arabian Peninsula, which led to the blowing of northwesterly winds on the Arabian Gulf.

The Kingdom of Bahrain is affected by active to strong winds, sometimes with the dusty speed in some areas.

It is expected that the wind speed will gradually decrease this evening, which leads to an increase in surface humidity.

As a result, light fog may form in some open areas during the early hours tomorrow morning, which leads to a decrease in the level of horizontal visibility, and the atmosphere tends to warm during the day tomorrow and on Thursday due to the control of southern winds throughout the day.

It is expected that the northwest winds will return starting from Friday and the following days, to reach from active to strong speed, sometimes causing dust in some areas, and there will be an actual decrease in temperatures in the succeeding days.

The Meteorological Department advises the people, especially sea-goers, to take precautions, and to follow its official bulletins and warnings through multiple channels.
