HRH Prince Salman hails Muharraq Club’s spirit of determination

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister has commended Muharraq Club for winning the Asian Cup for the second time that reflecting their spirit of determination and competition.

This came as HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister received the chairman of the Muharraq Sports Club, Shaikh Ahmed bin Ali Al Khalifa, members of the board, football team players, as well as the club’s technical and administrative staff at Riffa Palace.

HRH Prince Salman noted that the achievements made in the sports sector, on the regional and global level, are a product of the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

His Royal Highness commended the skills of the players, which is of an international standard, as confirmed by their recent success.

He noted that this great achievement would not have been possible without the concerted efforts and determination of the Muharraq Sports Club’s technical and administrative staff as well as the players.

The result of these combined efforts was a remarkable victory, that has enhanced the distinguished record of the Muharraq Sports Club and Bahrain’s record of achievements.

His Royal Highness expressed his thanks to the players and to the Bahraini fans who supported the club to its victory and wished them further success in future competitions.

He also commended the efforts of the representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in developing Bahraini sports sector and providing the support required to further achievement.

Shaikh Ahamed, on behalf of all the members of the club, expressed his thanks and appreciation to HRH Prince Salman’s support of the sports sector.
