Nogaholding, the hydrocarbon and energy investment and development arm of the Kingdom of Bahrain, held a luncheon in celebration of Bahraini Women’s Day at Naseef Restaurant at the Saada development in Muharraq where commemorative gifts were presented to the staff.

The event was attended by nogaholding’s Executive Management and Hadyah Fathalla, a board member of the company.

“It was an honour to be appointed and be allowed to add value to the group, and I was delighted to attend the luncheon this afternoon and to celebrate Bahraini Women’s Day alongside the staff of nogaholding.

Such opportunities to level the playing field to be able to compete with merit are vital,” said Fathalla.

“This year’s celebration of Bahraini Women’s Day is particularly important to nogaholding, as it also marks the 20th anniversary of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW).

The theme reflects our diversity and inclusion plans as we seek to increase the number of women in senior roles across the group shortly,” said Mark Thomas, Group CEO.

SCW said that this year’s theme reflects the deep-rooted presence of Bahraini women in the nation-building process, and its gradual progress comes hand-in-hand with the development of the modern civil state in Bahrain and is based on justice and equality in rights among all citizens.

Nogaholding currently has a female member of the Board of Directors, Fathalla, who was appointed this year by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
