HH Shaikh Mohammed opens Muharraq Grand Park

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday delegated His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, to inaugurate the Muharraq Grand Park.
The inauguration coincides with Bahrain’s celebrations of national holidays.
The park, also the largest in the Kingdom, is opening doors after remaining closed for more than 15 years and after years of works for reviving it.
The project forms part of a comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to enhance the green area and tourism infrastructure in the Kingdom.
“Citizens are the ultimate goal of the strategies, plans and programmes adopted by Bahrain as a basis for sustainable development,” said Shaikh Mohammed.
Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf, Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, said the Muharraq Grand Park near the Bahrain International Airport has an area of 90,692 square meters.
