Bahrain celebrates 50th National Day of UAE

Bahrain joined the United Arab Emirates yesterday in celebrating its 50th National Day.
The celebration commemorates the unification of the seven emirates in 1971 by Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to form the United Arab Emirates.
In a statement, Information Ministry, Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi, said Bahrain, led by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, is proud to join the UAE in celebrating its 50th National Day.
Bahrain, Al Romaihi said, appreciates UAE’s global position under the leadership of President HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The minister stressed that the Bahraini-Emirati relations are moving towards broader horizons of strategic partnership, thanks to HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the recent visit and signing of several agreements and memoranda.
The accords support political, diplomatic, security and economic integration and the exchange of expertise in energy, climate change, technology, artificial intelligence, cyber security, health, education, and labour.
