The General Directorate of Civil Defence announced launching a series of services through the national-portal ‘bahrain.bh’.

Brigadier Ali Muhammad Al Houti, the Director-General of Civil Defence, said the move follows the directives of the Minister of Interior and is in cooperation with the Information and eGovernment Authority.

One of the services allows obtaining a civil defence certificate on protection and fire prevention.

The service also allows beneficiaries to check status, print issued certificates, verify the validity of the certificate and safety requirements of buildings.

“These electronic services will enhance the safety of units and buildings in line with the standards of the General Directorate of Civil Defence,” said Al Houti.

To apply, an applicant should specify the type of certificate, enter the address of the building, confirm its correctness and make sure that there is no previous request.

The applicant can be the owner or a representative of a company approved by the Civil Defence but should enter the licence number.

An authorised person should enter his identity card number, email id, and mobile phone number.

If the address entered matches a prior request, the service checks the possibility of reopening the request with the civil defence database.

Applicants should attach all the required documents and review the data entered.

Upon completing the payment, the application data, including the payment receipt, will be displayed, which should be printed or sent to an email.

To know more about the e-government services, reach call centre 80008001, or submit comments, inquiries and suggestions through the Tawasul application available on bahrain.bh/apps.
