Fourth stop

Bahrain is the fourth stop of the Saudi Crown Prince, who is on a tour of the Gulf Arab states.

The tour also comes while a flurry of diplomacy occurs to resolve regional disputes, especially with Iran and Turkey.

The Saudi prince had already stopped in Oman, and the UAE, where he met with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed and attended Expo 2020 in Dubai on Wednesday before flying to Doha.

While in Doha, the two countries released a joint statement, saying they were committed to “enhancing the unity and stability of the Gulf Cooperation Council.”

The Saudi prince had arrived in the UAE from Oman, where the two sides signed agreements potentially totalling $30 billion.

To Kuwait

From Bahrain, he will head to Kuwait and hold talks with Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as well as Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

The summit planned for later this month will be the first since Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt agreed to end a dispute with Qatar over its foreign policy.
