Saudi Crown Prince’s Bahrain visit to boost bilateral ties

The visit of Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to Bahrain would further boost ties, said ministers and top officials yesterday also expressing their pride in the fraternal visit.
Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, said the visit would further strengthen the deep-rooted relations between the two brotherly countries.
“The cooperation between the two kingdoms is on the right track and will yield more fruitful results thanks to directives of their leaderships,” said the Speaker.
She pointed out that the Bahraini-Saudi relations are exemplary, citing coordinated stances in regional and global issues, in addition to cooperation in combating terrorism and activating joint GCC and Arab action.
The Speaker asserted that the security of Bahrain and that of Saudi Arabia are integral, reiterating a firm stance in solidarity with Saudi Arabia and unwavering support for its efforts to confront the terrorist attacks launched by the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia.
Sayyid Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, the Speaker of the Shura Council, said the bilateral talks yesterday confirm the depth of the historical relations and ties between the two Kingdoms.
The talks, he said, will open broad paths of close cooperation to push for more successes and joint achievements in many vital areas, especially in health, education, commerce, security and tourism.
In a statement, the Minister of Information, Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi, said the visit of Prince Mohammed would further boost bilateral ties.
The minister also described the Bahrain-Saudi bilateral relations as a model to emulate.
Al Romaihi, also the board of Trustees Chairman of Bahrain Institute for Political Development, praised the positive results of the Bahraini-Saudi Coordination Council since its establishment under the presidency of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He commended the pioneering role of Saudi Arabia in protecting the Gulf and Arab national security, promoting peace and prosperity and serving Islamic issues.
The minister lauded the sacrifices of Saudi Arabia to support legitimacy in Yemen and work out a comprehensive solution to the crisis.
“The world views with great appreciation and admiration the ambitious development and reform initiatives of Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which have consolidated the position of Saudi Arabia on the world map,” the minister said.
The minister further asserted that the establishment of King Hamad Causeway would represent a boost to the economic partnership.
Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain, HRH Prince Sultan bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, said the visit asserts historical fraternal relations and growing economic cooperation between the two kingdoms.
The Saudi ambassador reaffirmed that the security and stability of Bahrain is part of Saudi Arabia’s security, adding that both countries stand united against any interference in their internal affairs and all attempts to undermine their security and stability.
