Bahrain and Saudi Arabia are looking forward with high hopes for the 42nd Gulf summit in Riyadh next week, under the chairmanship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, said Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani. The minister said this during a press conference yesterday with his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud.

Dr Al Zayani said the discussions between His Majesty the King and HRH Prince Mohammed, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, affirmed the depth of the Bahraini-Saudi relations. His Majesty, the minister said, expressed his pride in the honourable historic stances Saudi Arabia takes towards Bahrain and its people and develop the process of joint Gulf action and deepen cohesion, cooperation, and integration.

His Majesty the King and HRH Prince Mohammed also discussed the latest developments in the region and the overall regional and international issues, the minister said.

Prince Faisal stressed the importance of the visit of His Royal Highness Crown Prince and hailed the depth of relations. He noted that the talks reflected the determination to strengthen these bonds and enhance coordination in all fields, especially in the economic, development, investment, and political aspects.
