His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud bid farewell to Bahrain yesterday after wide-ranging talks for bolstering bilateral and trade ties and Gulf unity.
“As I leave your brotherly country, it gives me great pleasure to express to Your Highness my thanks and appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality that I, and the accompanying delegation, received,” the crown prince tweeted, as he flew off to Kuwait.
The joint talks in Bahrain confirmed the strength of ties and desire to deepen cooperation and strengthen relations in all fields, HRH added, as he wished Bahrain further progress and prosperity. HRH Prince Mohammed was seen off at the airport by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Kuwait will be the last stop for Prince Mohammed, who was on a Gulf tour that took him to Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Bahrain ahead of the Gulf Summit planned later this month in Riyadh. Earlier yesterday, HM the King held talks with HRH Prince Mohammed at his residence with HRH Prince Salman.
His Majesty the King told HRH Prince Mohammed the visit strengthened fraternal ties between the brotherly countries and asked to convey his greeting to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
King Salman, HM the King said, plays a pivotal role in defending Arab issues, supporting the GCC march, promoting pan-Arab work and fostering security and stability in the region and the world. King Hamad and HRH Prince Mohammed then discussed ways to bolster bilateral ties, the overall developments in the regional and international scenes and the need for coordinating stances on issues of common interest.
Following talks, the Saudi Crown Prince thanked HM the King for the gracious welcome and hospitality and praised HM the King’s pioneering role in strengthening fraternal bonds between both countries.
HRH Prince Mohammed wished the Bahraini people continued growth and prosperity under the wise leadership of HM the King before flying off to Kuwait. Saudi and Bahraini companies also took part in a forum on Thursday and discussed opportunities for economic integration and supporting trade, investment and tourism.
Upon arrival in Kuwait, Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah welcomed HRH Prince Mohammed. This is also the third visit of HRH Prince Mohammed to Kuwait since he took over as the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.
