Stemming from its social responsibility and community partnership, and in line with its efforts to support government initiatives to achieve sustainable development of the agricultural sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Fareed Bader Group of Companies has recently contributed with a financial support of BD2,500 to plant in Samaheej Walkway in Muharraq Governorate.

It is part of the group’s national afforestation campaign launched by the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD), in cooperation with several stakeholders.

The afforestation of Samaheej Walkway in Muharraq Governorate was conducted by planting 78 diverse seedlings of neem, rool and hibiscus tiliasos trees on an area of 400 linear meters.

On the occasion, Fareed Bader, Chairman of Fareed Bader Group of Companies, stated: “We are delighted to be part of this noble national campaign, which will certainly have a significant impact on the efforts exerted to defy effects of climate change and contributes to promoting the expansion of the green area in our dear kingdom.”

Bader underlined the importance of maximising the contribution of the private sector to national initiatives, intending to protect the environment in Bahrain, adding: “The announcement of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and the Prime Minister, of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to the goal of achieving zero carbon neutrality by 2060, which drives us out of our national duty towards our country to join hands and cooperate to combat global challenges.”

Additionally, he said Bahrain is proceeding to achieve a food ecological model based on sustainability and the ability to face various challenges, through the Royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the interest of His Roral Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, representing a road map to produce results that are in the public interest, especially with the increase in environmental and climatic risks facing the world in the coming decades.
