Bahrain exports BD406 Million Worth National Origins in November

Bahrain’s deficit came down by 101%, the latest foreign trade report said, thanks to a 111% surge in export of national origin products.

According to the report for November, trade balance, which represents the difference between exports and imports, posted a surplus of (2 million dinars) in November, compared to a deficit of (163 m dinars) in the same month a year ago.

Imports from China rise

Imports increased by 13% to BD453 m from BD402 m in the year-ago month.

The top 10 countries accounted for 71% of imports, with China taking the first spot with BD67 m.

Brazil was second with BD55 m, and the United Arab Emirate third with BD36 m.

Iron ores top imports

Non-agglomerated iron ores and concentrates emerged as the top product imported into Bahrain with a total value of BD63 m.

Aluminium oxide was second with BD39 m, and jewellery of gold third with BD18 m.

Exports jump 111%

Exports of national origin increased by 111% to BD406 m from BD192 m in the same month of the previous year.

The top 10 countries accounted for 74% of the total purchase, with Saudi Arabia taking the first spot with BD62 m.

The United States of America came second with BD47 m and China third with BD38 m.

Unwrought aluminium alloys emerged as the top products exported with a value of BD107 m.

Agglomerated iron ores and concentrates alloyed came second with BD70 m, and unwrought aluminium not alloyed third with BD 33 m.

Aeroplane parts top re-exports

Re-exports increased by 7% to reach BD49 m during November 2021, compared to BD46 m in the same month of the previous year.

The top 10 countries accounted for 88% of the re-exported value.

The United Arab Emirates ranked first with BD13 m, Saudi Arabia second with BD11 m, and Singapore third with BD7 m.

Aeroplane parts is the top product re-exported from Bahrain with BD7 m, gold ingots came in second place with BD5 m, and precious metal came third with BD3 m.
