Asian woman jailed for laundering BD200,000 from Bahrain company

An Asian woman who reportedly managed to launder BD200,000 which she robbed from her company has been sentenced to three years in prison.
She was also fined BD10,000, and the Court issued an order to confiscate BD115,000 from her money and belongings.
The accused is said to have embezzled the money between the years 2014 and 2020 as she was responsible for collecting money from customers.
Her company was operating in the video-production field and it also owned several buildings.
She was getting money from tenants as well, and she took advantage of the fact that, in some cases, the customers were not requesting receipts.
