It is a matter of great joy and happiness that the Kingdom of Bahrain is celebrating its 50th National Day on 16 December 2021.
On behalf of the Government of India and the Indian community in Bahrain, I convey warm greetings and felicitations to the Leadership, Government and the people of the friendly Kingdom of Bahrain.
This is a special year as India and Bahrain are also celebrating the Golden Jubilee of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations.
Our bilateral relations, rooted in history and close people-to-people connect over thousands of years, have been further strengthened and diversified in recent years.
The regular high level political and official interactions and exchanges, which continued even during pandemic times, have provided continuity and momentum to our multi-faceted bilateral cooperation.
Over the years, the Kingdom of Bahrain has made tremendous strides in all spheres of the economy.
The resilience of Bahrain’s economy was evident during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Kingdom is among the most successful countries in dealing with the pandemic and is on its way towards a strong post-COVID economic recovery.
This coupled with Kingdom’s liberal and tolerant policies and welcoming society, has made it a preferred destination for the Indian community.
It is no surprise that Bahrain has been ranked among the most expat-friendly nations.
This was reflected in the way the Government of Bahrain has taken care of its ex-pat community, of which Indians form the majority, during the difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kingdom’s care of the Indian community was remarkable which included free vaccination at par with its citizens.
Once again, I join the Indian community in Bahrain in conveying our best wishes on this momentous occasion to the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain
