Missing Bahraini boy in East Riffa found safe

A five-year-old Bahraini boy who went missing in one of East Riffa neighbourhoods was found safe following a 12-hour search by the police along with members of the local community.
The news went viral across all social media platforms yesterday after the parents of Abdulla Ahmed filed a complaint with the local police that their son had been missing from their house.
It is believed that the boy could not find his way back home after strolling out of the family’s housing compound.
Terming the ‘mission success’, the Director-General of Southern Governorate Police Directorate thanked the communities in the neighbourhood for joining the search operation.
“The directorate alerted all concerned officials, who carried out an intense search after the complaint was filed.
A special team combed footage from surveillance cameras in the area to track the boy,” he added.
The boy was found 12 hours after the missing complaint was filed with the police department.
