HRH Prince Salman honours senior BDF personnel and frontline medical professionals

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister commended the Bahrain Defence Force’s frontline support that has been a key element of Team Bahrain’s efforts to mitigate COVID-19.

HRH the Deputy King noted that the contribution of the frontline medical professionals and supporting entities from the BDF, Ministry of Interior and various other agencies have had a positive impact on the Kingdom’s fight to contain the virus and protect public health.

 HRH Prince Salman yesterday met with the BDF’s Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, and a number of other senior BDF officials at Riffa Palace.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness presented Al Nuaimi and other senior BDF officers with “The Prince Salman bin Hamad Medal for Medical Merit” in recognition and appreciation of their relentless support of the Kingdom’s COVID-19 mitigation efforts.

His Royal Highness affirmed the appreciation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, on the BDF’s efforts over the past two years.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the BDF’s integral role as a key contributor to the Kingdom’s sustainable development.

He thanked each and every individual of Team Bahrain for their ongoing efforts to combat COVID-19 and safeguard public health.
