Private sector key to development: HRH Prince Salman

The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has highlighted the importance of strengthening the role of the private sector and ensuring the sector’s contributions to Bahrain’s comprehensive development.
This came as HRH Prince Salman yesterday received the Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Sameer Abdullah Nass, alongside several senior officials at Riffa Palace.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa also attended the meeting.
His Royal Highness noted that the government continues to strengthen its private sector partnerships through various projects and development plans that benefit the Kingdom and its citizens.
He praised the BCCI’s role in supporting the Kingdom’s development initiatives, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and further enhancing the role of the private sector as the major driver of the Bahraini economy.
HRH the Deputy King highlighted the importance of continuing to work as one team to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom’s Economic Recovery Plan.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also noted that economic achievements, at all levels, require intensified efforts and greater solidarity, to create more promising opportunities for citizens across various fields.
Nass expressed his thanks and appreciation for His Royal Highness's commitment to enhancing the contributions of the private sector to the Kingdom’s sustainable development.
