His Majesty congratulated by HRH Prince Salman on ‘scientific milestone’

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister extended his congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, following the successful launch of the first Bahrain-UAE satellite, Light-1.

HRH Prince Salman said that this vital project advances the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty the King.

HRH the Deputy King commended the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser, Commander of the Royal Guard and Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council, for this scientific achievement.

His Royal Highness expressed his pride in Team Bahrain’s contribution to the project, adding that the satellite’s launch is yet another milestone achieved by the Kingdom thanks to the industry of the determined Bahraini workforce.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister extended his congratulations to the UAE President, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and to the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, HH Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

HRH Prince Salman also thanked them for their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation, including collaboration on space exploration and scientific research.

He wished the joint space project continued success and expressed his hope that it will serve as an example of scientific progress.
