Bahrain will experience a spell of foggy weather for a few days starting this Sunday, says the Met Department.
Meteorological data says fog will cover Bahrain this Sunday at dawn as sunlight makes its first appearance in the sky.
“This will create a low level of horizontal visibility in some governorates of Bahrain.”
Horizontal visibility is the maximum distance up to which prominent objects are visible on the Earth’s surface.
“Chances are that the fog formation will repeat until the dawn of next Wednesday,” Met statement added.
According to numerical forecast models, several depressions are forecast to affect Bahrain at the end of next week.
Weather conditions are such that it will result in scattered rain on the 13th and 14th of January.
Met statements also warn that the rapid movements of the depressions might alter the current conditions and that they will issue updates accordingly.
The Meteorological Department at the Ministry of Transportation and Communications had called on citizens and residents to ensure precaution during weather fluctuations.
The Met statement also clarifies that the cold climate in the Kingdom is due to strong northwest winds, which will take light to moderate speed by the middle of next week.
