Endurance race confidence builder for children: HM King

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa hailed the crucial role of endurance races in boosting youngsters’ confidence, highlighting the achievements Bahrain had earned through its steady development.

In this regard, King Hamad praised His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, for creating an ideal climate for the children to take up equestrian sports, particularly endurance.

HM King said this following the children endurance race held as part of the festival of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, President of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee.

The festival, which began on Thursday concludes today, is organised by Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation.

The race, which saw the participation of many jockeys from various local stables, was followed by Shaikh Hamdan bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

HH Shaikh Nasser and his children Shaikha Shaima bint Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Shaikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Shaikh Mohammed bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, took part.

HM King lauded BREEF President Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa for the best organisation of the endurance championships.
