BTEA plans dance floors at new Exhibition & Convention Centre

Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority is looking forward to creating performance staging, dance floors and crowd barriers at the new Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. Performance staging can be used temporarily or permanently for artists or musicians for performances.

BTEA has also launched a tender for installing them at the new Centre in Sakhir. The tender, which closes on the 26th of this month, calls on contractors to design, manufacture, supply, deliver and install these facilities at the Centre.

Upon completion, the new Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre will be the largest in the Middle East, with a total area of 309,000 sqm. ASM Global has taken over as the managing operator for the Centre, which will bolster Bahrain’s position as a leading business events hub internationally.

The new Centre will have a total built-up area of 149,000 sqm. It offers 95,000 sqm of exhibition space over ten halls, a 4,000-seat tiered auditorium and 95 meeting rooms.

Bahrain Tourism & Exhibition Authority chief executive, Nasser Qaedi, had said, “The new centre will reinforce the Kingdom’s status regionally and internationally and Bahrain’s position in the MICE industry.
