Bahrain and China discuss ways to further strengthen cooperation in various fields

Bahrain is committed to bolstering bilateral relations and cooperation with China, particularly in economic, commercial and investment fields, for the benefit of both countries and people.
This came as Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani met the State Councilor and Foreign Minister of China, Wang Yi, yesterday in Wuxi, a city near Shanghai.
Dr Al Zayani conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince to the President of China, Xi Jinping, and their wishes to the friendly Chinese people for further development and prosperity.
Wang conveyed to his counterpart his greetings to the leadership.
He noted the strong historic relations between the two countries, affirming China’s keenness to further develop cooperation in all areas for the benefit of both countries and people.
Dr Al Zayani highlighted the development of relations between the two countries.
He stressed the importance of further strengthening cooperation to achieve common interests as they discussed bilateral ties and ways to develop them in various fields.
They also reviewed the opportunities available to develop cooperation in the economic, commercial, investment and other areas.
The meeting addressed the political and security developments in the region, the challenges facing their countries, in addition to topics of common interest at the regional and international levels.
