Firming up Bahrain and Italy diplomacy

Bahrain is committed to enhancing Bahraini and Italian parliamentary cooperation.
This came as Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal received Italian Parliament Member Sergio Torromino yesterday as they discussed ways to boost the two countries bilateral ties.
The Speaker affirmed that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, paid great importance in promoting principles of peace, coexistence, tolerance and pluralism, which is represented in launching many initiatives including The King Hamad Chair in Inter-Faith Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence at the Sapienza University of Rome.
The Italian MP expressed his appreciation to the speaker for the continuous support and interest in Bahraini-Italian relations, praising the efforts of the Kingdom in promoting such principles and the keenness to strengthen parliamentary cooperation.
Bahrain-Saudi ties
Speaker also met with Ambassador-designate to Saudi Arabia Shaikh Ali bin Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Khalifa as she congratulated him on his new position, wishing him all success.
The Speaker affirmed the depth of the historical Bahraini-Saudi relations and the development they are witnessing in all fields, supported by HM the King and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
She hailed the efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in promoting cooperation between the countries.
Zainal noted the parliamentary support and continuous coordination with the Saudi Consultative Council to achieve the aspirations of the countries and their peoples, stressing that the joint course of action of the Bahraini-Saudi parliamentary diplomacy reflects the depth of relations between them.
The ambassador praised the parliament’s efforts and parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening relations with friendly countries.
