Bahrain Coast guards arrest two fishing using bottom trawl nets

Bahraini Coast Guards yesterday arrested two men and seized a boat for shrimping using illegal bottom trawl nets, locally known as Kufa.
As per Ministerial Resolution No. (205) of 2018, it is illegal to use bottom trawl nets for fishing in the waters of Bahrain.
A statement by the Coast Guard Commander said they took necessary measures.
The Public Prosecution is pursuing further legal action.
