Bahrain opened its school year 2021/2022 second semester in government schools at all levels yesterday morning. This semester, schools continue to mix physical attendance, while strictly following precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), and distance learning based on the wishes of parents.

Yasser Bani Hammad, director of Al Hedaya Al Khalifia Secondary School for Boys, said: “In an atmosphere full of enthusiasm and optimism, the second semester began. The school made all preparations for the start of a new semester, including the electronic broadcast halls for teachers.”

He added: “In our school, things went smoothly and according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education, which gave students and parents the choice between in-person education and distance learning.

The needs and requirements of both systems were met, and we are hoping that this would be a successful semester like the previous ones. We are confident that we can sustain the progress in education while overcoming obstacles such as the pandemic.”
