Bahrain elected as IBE Council vice-president

Bahrain was elected as the International Bureau of Education (IBE) Council vice-president of UNESCO in Geneve.

Among many other achievements made during the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Bahrain has achieved this educational achievement internationally.

Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi attended the IBE Council virtual meeting in which he discussed a number of topics on the agenda, including the proposed program of activities for 2022, the amended statute for the Member States office work, the office’s communication strategy, and the procedure rule draft.

Minister Al-Nuaimi congratulated HM the King, expressed his appreciation for the support of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for the ministry.

The minister noted that the ministry is continuing to implement the developmental programs of the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training headed by Deputy Prime Minister His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa.

Al- Nuaimi affirmed that Bahrain will make efforts to achieve the goals of the Member States office, which is considered one of the educational institutions of UNESCO. The office has a major role in formulating education policies on an international level.
