Government Hospitals creating future masterplan for Salmaniya Medical Complex

The Government Hospital is looking forward to creating a ‘future masterplan’ for Salmaniya Medical Complex. The authority has also launched a tender for the project, which calls for a comprehensive study to propose a ‘new future masterplan’.

SMC is a public hospital in the Salmaniya, which also functions as a teaching and research centre for Health Professionals. Established in 1957 and having a bed capacity of approximately 1,200 beds, it is the largest tertiary hospital in the country. The hospital receives an average of 900- 1000 patients a day and employs more than 2,000 physicians, nurses and workers.
