RCSI Bahrain student shines in entrepreneur competition

Final year medical student, Abdulla Jamal Al Zeera, from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland-Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain) has won the National Competition of the Global Students’ Entrepreneurship Award (GSEA).

Representing RCSI Bahrain, Al Zeera competed with six finalists from different universities to pitch his business (Globeauty), in front of a panel of judges.

As the winner of the national competition, Al Zeera will be representing Bahrain in the Global GSEA competition held in the US, while competing with other national winners from all around the world, in addition to being sponsored and featured by the National Geographic Channel and Disney Studios.

All participants in the Global GSEA will compete for the chance to win the grand prize of $25,000.

President of RCSI Bahrain, Professor Sameer Otoom, commented, “My sincere congratulations to Mr Abdulla Al Zeera, for his outstanding achievement of winning the National Student Entrepreneur Competition. We are very proud that our student is to represent Bahrain in the Global GSEA competition.
