Based on the directives of Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to assist families affected by the heavy rains, the Royal Humanitarian Foundation has presented financial support to the affected families.

HH Shaikh Nasser expressed his thanks and gratitude to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Honorary President of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their great support to Bahraini families.

HH Shaikh Nasser stresses that the RHF is keen on fulfilling the visions and aspirations of HM the King and on implementing his directives in providing all forms of support to citizens.

RHF Secretary-General Dr Mustafa Al Sayyed expressed deep gratitude to HM King Hamad, HRH Prince Salman and HH Shaikh Nasser for their tremendous support to the families affected by the recent heavy downpour.

He said that the RHF set up a link for online requests to receive support and that it received 880 applications.

The relevant committee reviewed the applications submitted based on the RHF standards and requirements, he added.

Al Sayyed commended the RHF efforts and keenness to review all applications to ensure a fair distribution of the amounts based on an integrated system and specific standards and requirements.

A list of the families eligible for assistance was drawn up and the amounts were transferred to bank accounts to contribute to addressing some of the damages to homes, he said.
