Committees fail to reach consensus on pension funds status: Bahrain

A discussion between the committees of the House of Representatives, Shura Council and many ministers regarding the finalisation of pension funds status ended without reaching a consensus, according to sources.
The sources confirmed that members of the legislative authority and government representatives presented their views and observations on the status of pension funds and the proposed solutions to reform the funds, and it was decided to hold another meeting next Sunday for further consultations.
During the next meeting, it has been planned to review the recommendations made by the committees to the government as well as government proposals to fix the quagmire.
