Indian Ambassador visits DANAT laboratory

Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (DANAT) welcomed the Indian Ambassador to Bahrain, Piyush Srivastava, at its headquarters at the World Trade Center in Manama, in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Yaser Alsharifi, and CEO, Noora Jamsheer along with various members of DANAT’s team.
The meeting explored new collaboration opportunities between India and Bahrain in the fields of pearls and gemstones and trade, as well as training and research in this field.
Jamsheer gave Ambassador Srivastava a presentation on DANAT’s establishment and mission, as well as how it evolved into a world-class gemological laboratory, education and research centre, specialising in the testing and study of natural pearls as a reflection of Bahrain’s ancient pearling history and desire to protect and advance Bahrain’s pearling heritage Ambassador Srivastava was accompanied by Alsharifi and Jamsheer on a tour of DANAT’s laboratory which is equipped with the state-of-art equipment and managed by an expert team of gemmologists who contributed to establishing the institute as the world’s preferred center for natural pearl and gemstone testing services, and a respected channel for international markets, serving both local and global clients.
