‘Burger most popular Valentine dish’ in Bahrain

Burger meal was the most popular Valentine dish in Bahrain last year, according to Talabat, an online food ordering company.

“In 2021, consumers chose to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a variety of different cuisines and dishes, the most popular being the American cuisine - nothing says ‘I love you like a good burger,” Talabat said.

Valentine’s Day, also called St Valentine’s Day, is every year celebrated on February 14 and the day is known for lovers expressing their affection with greetings and gifts.

The day is popular among the expatriate communities in Bahrain

Heart-shaped chocolates were also the most loved on the app platform and were among the most ordered on last year’s Valentine Day.

Among fruits, “strawberries reigned supreme during Valentine’s season last year, with consumers indulging in this delicious fruit the most”.

Restaurants have come up with many offers to attract “Valentine customers” on a special day.

Last two years, we received fewer customers owing to the pandemic. This year we are expecting more customers as well as orders.”

Another segment getting ready to serve their customers marking this occasion are jewellers.

All jewellers in Bahrain have come up with special product lines, matching the requirements and expectations of customers.
