LMRA conducts inspection campaign in Muharraq Governorate

The Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) conducted an inspection campaign in Muharraq Governorate, in cooperation with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs and Muharraq Governorate Directorate that included many Governorate work sites.

The campaign resulted in the arrest of several violations related to the provisions of LMRA Law and the Residence Law in Bahrain, and the arrest of many workers violating regulations and laws, as legal actions were taken toward them. 

The authority pointed out that this campaign comes in cooperation with  Interior Ministry and relevant government entities to develop the work environment and address all practices that would affect the competitiveness, justice and flexibility of the labour market, in addition to their negative effects on social security. 

LMRA stressed the importance of the society’s role in supporting the efforts of government entities that seek to maintain the society's security, social, health and economic stability, calling on the public to report any complaints related to the labour market and illegal expatriate workers.
