Bahrain-based website in hot water for publishing fake news

The Ministry of Interior has announced referring the person in charge of an online news website to the Public Prosecution for publishing fake news on the meeting of local societies’ members with a foreign party.
The news published on the Bahrain based website, namely the Delmon Post, raised eyebrows, and the members involved in the meeting issued separate statements denying the claims reported by it.
As a result, he was referred by the ministry to the Public Prosecution for questioning over the news article he published.
