HM King Hamad’s unwavering support for parliamentary work hailed

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa unwavering support to parliamentary work received a big round of applause from parliamentarians during the 32nd conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union in the Egyptian capital Cairo.
AIPU yesterday granted Parliamentary excellence awards to Chairperson of the Shura Council Services Committee, Dr Jihad Abdullah Al Fadhel, Chairperson of the Shura Council Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee, member of the Arab Parliament, Dalal Jasim AlZayed, and MP Isa Ali Al-Qadhi.
Al- Qadhi, accepting the award, thanked HM the King for his unwavering support to parliamentary work and progress witnessed by Bahrain and the landmark achievements under His Majesty’s development march.
He asserted that the national work in Bahrain and the fruitful cooperation between the Council of Representatives and the government yielded positive results that serve the country and the citizens. The Arab Parliament will hold the Fourth Conference of heads of the Arab Councils and parliaments today in Cairo, Egypt. The conference is under the title “the role of parliamentarians in achieving security and stability in the Arab world.”
The Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) honoured Dr Jihad Abdulla Al-Fadhel with the Parliamentary Excellence Award-Second Category (Member of Parliament) 2021. Dr Jihad Abdulla Al-Fadhel, the Chairperson of the Shura Council Services Committee, also works as the Chairperson of the Foreign Relations Committee at the Arab Observatory for Human Rights.
The award, AIPU said, recognises the outstanding parliamentary activities of Dr Al Fadhel and her efforts to promote national stances at international events. Dr Al Fadhel received the award yesterday on the sidelines of Bahrain’s participation in the 32nd conference of AIPU in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, under the theme “Arab Solidarity”.
Representatives Council Speaker, Fawzia Abdullah Zainal, heads Bahraini delegation to Cairo. Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh congratulated Dr Jihad Abdullah Al Fadhel on being granted the award.
“The honour is a tribute to Dr Al Fadhel’s long experience and dedicated efforts to serve the Kingdom of Bahrain,” said Al Saleh. He praised her active participation, at the level of Arab, Islamic and international parliamentary unions, and her remarkable contributions to promoting joint parliamentary work.
AIPU also granted the Parliamentary Excellence Award to Chairperson of the Shura Council Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee, member of the Arab Parliament, Dalal Jasim AlZayed and MP Issa Ali Al-Qadi.
