Alwani Bahrain Society members visit fashion expo in Turkey

Alwani Bahrain Society organised a visit to the Istanbul International Apparel and Fashion Exhibition in Turkey earlier this month.

Twenty Bahraini leaders and businesswomen, who have initiatives and projects in the fashion sector, ready-made garments trade and related fields, were part of the delegation visiting the largest specialised exhibition in this field.

Participants had the opportunity to learn about the latest trends in clothing design, manufacturing and trade through more than 400 companies participating in this three-day exhibition.

Hand of the Bahraini delegation, Vice President of Alwani Bahrain Society, Dr Houriya Al-Diri, said the members concluded several business deals and actively participated in fashion shows, workshops and held meetings with consultants and suppliers of readymade garments.

Alwani Bahrain society, she said, aims to organise such an expo with Bahraini and international participants in the future.

“This would contribute to the development of Bahraini women entrepreneurs and help them expand their business in the local, regional and international markets.”
