BIS organises a virtual science, art exhibition

Bhavans-Bahrain Indian School students exhibited their scientific knowledge, creativity and talent at the Virtual Science, Maths and Art Exhibition. Chief Guest Mr Jeyaprakash Elango, Hon. Chairman, The Institution of Engineers (India) Bahrain Chapter, inaugurated the exhibition accompanied by BIS Directors Mr Himanshu Verma, Ms Ritu Verma and Principal Mr Saji Jacob.

 BIS students interviewed Bahrain Space Team Member Ms Amina AlBalooshi, who played a key role in the successful launch of Bahrain’s first-ever satellite ‘Light 1’. The extracts of the interview were also streamed during the exhibition.

Students from Grades I to XI participated in the exhibition. They displayed models based on concepts ranging from the water cycle, plasma and effects, models of houses that could be built in flooded areas, traditional architecture connected with physics, the transmission of waves in a medium, machines and their working and many more.

Maths models were equally displayed wherein students made models such as bridges, robots, lighthouses, parks, satellites etc.

using shapes. Budding artists of BIS also showcased their beautiful art and crafts works which added colours to the occasion. The exhibition provided an ideal platform to display the knowledge, creativity, investigative skills and talent of budding scientists, mathematicians and artists of BIS Mr Elango commended the students for their skills and enthusiasm.

The Chief Guest also lauded the efforts of the school for providing such a great platform for students to exhibit their talents. Mr Himanshu and Mrs Ritu and Mr Jacob congratulated the students and teachers for the excellent show and encouraged the students to participate in more such competitions.
