Charity shoot a novel experience for Go Peep

A month ago, video production company Go Peep had come up with a concept to produce a film for a charity group and after putting the idea to vote among local social media users, they zeroed in on the charity group Feed the Need.

Last Thursday, the Go Peep team spent 10 hours in six locations making a film on the Feed the Need refrigerators making a difference in the lives of the poor families in the Kingdom.

The director of the film, Christiaan de Jonge, said the shooting of the movie was a new record for their Go Peep team. “It was our biggest shoot for a charity film. We shot the film in so many locations, something we have never done before. It is gratifying to see the smiling faces of people after when they witness the end product.”

Explaining the charity drive, he says: “Feed the Need is spread across Bahrain in so many locations -- Muharraq, Saar, Adliya, Isa Town and Aali. Through our film, we wanted to share the happiness spreading among people.”

Migrant workers, families, children and volunteers were all happy and enthusiastic to the making of the film. “The kids were great actors. Everyone... the kids, their friends, even new faces joined the shoot.”

Feed the Need director Michelle Bailey says they shot in various locations, including Aali, Adliya, Isa Town Mosque, Saar Mosque and Saar Mall.

“We wanted kids’ involvement because everyone need to know that there are less fortunate people in society.”

Michelle Bailey couldn’t hide her excitement. “The Go Peep team came up with the script and design very professionally.

We are very thrilled to work with them on this.”

The film, currently in the post-production stage, will be released between the National Day and Christmas.

The Go Peep team is currently working on a rap video for their team and is planning to bring it out on their anniversary, which falls on the National Day this December.
