Two men jailed in Bahrain in abduction case

Two men involved in abducting another man and locking him up to have been hit with imprisonment terms.
The first suspect was sentenced to five years in prison, while the other got three years.
They are also involved in consuming drugs and possessing pornographic material.
They were also fined BD1,000 each for their crimes.
According to court files, the Public Prosecution received a complaint from the competent security department stating that the duo kidnapped the victim and locked up him on a farm located in the Shakhura area.
He was allegedly beaten up to force him to confess if he had told police that they were on drugs or not.
The Public Prosecution chief said that the case was investigated immediately after the complaint was received and the victim’s statements were heard, following the defendants were questioned and detained before being put on a trial.
Their saliva was tested and it was confirmed that they were on drugs.
