HRH Princess Sabeeka issues edict appointing SCW director

Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) President, has issued Edict (1) of 2022, appointing Hend Ibrahim Al Alewi as Public Relations and Protocols Director at the SCW General Secretariat.
The appointment reflects the commitment of the SCW General Secretariat to promote its administrative personnel and ensure their professional development. Al Alewi is holder of a master’s degree in business management, a bachelor’s degree in finance and banking studies, a certificate as a mentor in women’s affairs and a diploma in protocols and etiquette.
She first joined the council in 2007 as a follow-up specialist affiliated with the office of the SCW Assistant Secretary-General until 2011 and then as senior specialist in equal opportunities until 2014. Al Alewi then took over, respectively, as awards and initiatives department chief, then head of the equal opportunities section at the Gender Balance Centre.
