HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad patronises 4th Youth Forum "Micro Shabab"

Under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA) and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), the University of Bahrain will host the 4th edition of the youth forum "Micro Shabab", which is organised by Future Society for Youth in the period between March 29-31, 2022 at Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa hall in the University of Bahrain's Sakhir campus.

On this occasion, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa said: "Bahrain is proud of its youth component, and the exceptional energies they have which have played a key role in their success and distinction in various fields. Bahrain and in line with the directives of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, has been keen on supporting efforts that aim to empower our youth and make them real players in construction the society,"

"The keenness and interest of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in providing the required backing to the youth in order to participate in the commercial sector has contributed to developing their personalities and allowed them to become active players in the development and prosperity of the Kingdom's economy. Investing in youth is one of the main strategies that have been sketched by the HRH the Crown and Prime Minister, and are being implemented by the government to give the youth an opportunity to enter the entrepreneurship world," HH Shaikh Khalid added.

Moreover, HH Shaikh Khalid valued the exceptional efforts being exerted by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, to empower the youth in order to pave the way for them to participate in the economic sector through plans and programmes launched by His Highness, all of which have contributed to cementing the presence of the youth and their participation in developing this vital field.

"We are happy with our sponsorship of this Forum. Such events have a great positive impact on supporting the youth to prepare and think about starting a project thanks to the rich information and experiences they carry," HH Shaikh Khalid added.

Meanwhile, HH Shaikh Khalid hailed the efforts of the Future Society for Youth, the organisers of the event, towards preparing for holding this edition of the event, praising also the contributions of the University of Bahrain in embracing the Forum.

Dr Jawaher Shaheen Al Mudhahki, President of the University of Bahrain said: "It's our honour at the University of Bahrain to host this important event which is being awaited by the youth to boost their desire to be equipped by innovation and creativity as well as the entrepreneurship spirit. Such events help in unleashing their creative energies and reaching new heights in all fields. This is in line with the high objectives of the University of Bahrain,"
