His Majesty hails Bahrain sports landmark achievements

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa praised Bahrain sports’ achievements at the regional and international competitions and reiterated support to sportspeople to continue making Bahrain proud.

He expressed pride in promising Bahraini talents, hailing their keenness to excel at all arenas and championships. This came as His Majesty received at Al Safriya Palace yesterday Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who submitted to him the annual GSA report, which documents Bahrain’s recent sports achievements.

Present was HM’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and SCYS Chairman HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. HM the King praised the efforts exerted by HH Shaikh Khalid and his field visits to sports and youth associations, clubs and centres, which supported the youth and sports sectors.

Youth potential

He commended HH Shaikh Khalid’s keenness to invest in youth potential and encourage young Bahraini talents. HH Shaikh Khalid paid tribute to HM the King, hailing royal care and support which contributed to Bahrain’s continental and international achievements.

He expressed thanks and gratitude to His Majesty for receiving him along with the GSA board members, hailing Bahrain’s outstanding sports achievements in the prosperous era of HM the King.

HH Shaikh Khalid hailed the royal support which enabled the implementation of projects that contributed to the development of sports and enhancing the performance of clubs and national teams, as well as earned Bahrain landmark achievements.
