Committee urges students to be vigilant
The National Committee for Assessment of Academic Qualifications in the Ministry of Education (MoE) convened its regular meeting chaired by ministry’s Undersecretary for Education, Curricula and Head of the Committee, Dr. Abdullah Yousef Al Mutawa.
The committee directed students who would like to study abroad to verify the extent of accreditation of parent universities and branches of their own choice before joining. The accreditation of parent educational institutions does not necessarily mean its branches have obtained accreditation from the competent bodies.
Also, students who would like to complete their postgraduate engineering studies abroad have been directed by the committee to study in the parent universities only, accredited by the relevant higher educational bodies in these countries in compliance with the GCC resolutions in this regard to maintain the quality of education and its output.
